American Gothic Art Contest

The community of Eldon, Iowa, is home to the little white house in Grant Wood’s most famous painting American Gothic. The American Gothic House Center invites students and members of the public to participate in our annual art contest. Kick-off for art submissions will begin April 23rd and entries will be accepted until 4:00 PM on May 23rd. Judging by a panel will determine 1st and 2nd places in the following categories: K-2nd, 3-5th, 6-8th, 9-12th, and Adult. All submission will be on display in the American Gothic House Center during our regular operating hours. Public voting for Best in Show will be in-person only June 4th though June 8th. Cash prizes to winners. Limit of 2 art pieces per person.
