American Gothic Days

American Gothic Days is an annual festival held in Eldon since 1970, celebrating the historic American Gothic House. The three day event festival features a street dance, parade, bags tournament, mud volleyball, kids activities and more! 

Friday, June 2

6:00 p.m. - Lunch Lady Food Truck at GATE Park (The Rocks)

7:00 p.m. to 11:00 pm - Street Dance with Dallas City Limits

Saturday, June 3

5K Run - Check In 7:15 a.m. at the Gothic House, Run starts promptly at 8:00 a.m.

Parade - 9:15 a.m. line up, 10:00 a.m. start. Please contact Jamie Cranston if you would like to be in the parade at 641.660.1063. Be sure to stop in and view the Art Show in the Gothic House Hall.

11:00 a.m. - Allan McKeever Memorial Chicken Dinner, KD Center

1:00 p.m. - Frog Jump. Bring your own frogs, KD Center park

2:00 p.m. - Bags Tournament, KD Center, payout depends on number of participants.

7:00 p.m. - Wapello County Speedway Races. Fairgrounds.

Sunday, June 4

7:00 a.m. 10:30 a.m. (ish) - Breakfast Eldon Fire Department. Free Will Offering

Mud Volleyball - 11:00 a.m. Check in, Play starts at 12:00 noon, KD Center Park. $100 per team, payout depends on number of participants.
