Andrea Van Wyk Exhibition

Andrea Van Wyk is passionate about painting magnified flowers, architectural details and Iowa landscapes. She stretches raw cotton canvas on a wooden frame and uses acrylic ink to create a composition with both abstraction and realism. Andrea mixes the permanent hues with water to achieve values of light and dark and produce soft edged mingling and dripping colors. She balances the looseness in the focal point area by using more control, creating details and defining shapes to emphasize the main subject.
