Greater Ottumwa Partners in Progress & LULAC Ottumwa is thrilled to announce their inaugural Day of the Dead celebration on Saturday, November 2, 2024. This free community event will take place from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Knights of Columbus Hall, offering a unique opportunity for residents to come together and honor the memories of loved ones in a vibrant and culturally rich atmosphere.
The Day of the Dead, or Día de los Muertos, is a cherished tradition that celebrates the lives of those who have passed away. This event will bring the spirit of this beautiful tradition to life in Ottumwa, with families and community members gathering to create altars adorned with mementos, photos, favorite foods, and cherished items of the departed.
