Steve Prettyman and Judy Bales: Evanescence

This exhibit will combine photos by Steve Prettyman with fashion art works and photographic portraits by Judy Bales. Her work speaks to the ephemeral and fleeting nature of beauty and fashion, while also alluding to the qualities of beauty that are timeless. Judy Bales holds a BFA in painting and an MFA in textiles from the University of Georgia and has worked for 35 years as a fiber/mixed media artist, fashion designer and public art design team member. Steve Prettyman holds a BFA from the Crafts Department at Virginia Commonwealth University. Areas of study were sculpture, art history and independent work in photography.
