Memorial Park

Memorial Park covers 47 acres on Ottumwa's north side. You'll find picnic tables, a shelter and grills to enjoy a great outdoor meal. There are also multiple playgrounds, two pickleball courts, and a disc golf course. Be on the lookout for birds and other wildlife, too!

Winding through the woods of Memorial Park, you’ll find a 5-mile mountain biking trail. Visitors from around Iowa and across the country have made Ottumwa a destination spot specifically to ride this trail. Built by volunteers using the International Mountain Bicycling Association’s standards, these unpaved trails are designed to be a challenging off-road experience. Its special features include a switchback, jumps and a steep ravine. Also open to hikers, the main trailhead is located at the timber’s edge under the Bulldog Water Tower off Elm Street.
