If you're up for a challenge, grab your discs and head to one of the eight local Disc Golf Courses, or enjoy a leisurely walk along the 16 miles of trails on the Wapello County Trail System, a great place for summer birdwatching. And when the sun is shining, don’t forget to catch some rays at the Beach Ottumwa, where you can relax by the water and soak up the summer vibes.

For golf enthusiasts, Cedar Creek Golf Course provides a great golfing experience. Whether you're looking to play 9 or 18 holes, or just hit the driving range.

Wapello County Conservation also maintains a variety of picturesque parks and wildlife preserves, including Pioneer Ridge Nature AreaEddyville Sand Dunes Prairie, and Garrison Rock Resource Management Unit —ideal for getting outside and immersing yourself in nature.
